cold

Looks like Fall has officially passed and winter is comfortably settling in. We’ve had a mild Fall but we can now see our breaths when we walk outside and the ritual of bundling up with scarves, hats and gloves have begun in earnest.
We have 2 more weeks to go in the holiday season. There’s still a lot to be done and I think next week will be the killer week we need to get through, but Mark and I are hanging in there. I ain’t gonna lie though, we’re tired. The thing that is killing us is that the girls continue to wake up early every morning at about 6am and Claudine has been getting into this new habit some nights of waking up crying right when we are getting ready to crawl into bed ourselves. I think the worst thing you can hear at 2:45am when you’re literally pining for sleep is to hear your kid cry as soon as you hit your head on the pillow. They don’t understand that you’re only getting 4 hours of sleep a night before their early morning wakeup call - they just want you to come over and console them. And so we do. Most nights all she wants is to “rest a little bit” on our bed for three minutes, then she’ll willingly go back to bed. I don’t really know what that’s about. All I know is that I’m grateful that the girls have each other to entertain themselves in the morning while we steal another hour or so of sleep.

Who are we?
